Okra is one of our population’s foodstuffs. Our varieties, adapted to African dishes, have a high sticky content and are cultivated throughout the year Okra prefers light soil that is well irrigated and rich; not very heavy, deep, rich in organic matter and manure.

Okra is one of our population’s foodstuffs. Our varieties, adapted to African dishes, have a high sticky content and are cultivated throughout the year Okra prefers light soil that is well irrigated and rich; not very heavy, deep, rich in organic matter and manure.


Volta    
Although selected for the local market, Volta adapts well to the cold season during which its production remains abundant and regular. The fleshy pod is elongated (16 to 20 cm), hexagonal, dark green for an average yield of 5 to 7t/ha.


Paysan    
This African type variety is highly appreciated in Cameroon and in the Central African sub-region. It has starry and pear–shaped pods Its average output is 5 to 7t/ha and it is much appreciated for the preparation of sauce.

HIRE    
This popular variety with average earliness has smooth, four lob pods with thin end. Hire is very productive in hot and wet condition for an average output of 5 to 7t/ha.
